Bill Description
SB164 revises Montana’s laws on endangering the welfare of children to explicitly prohibit medical treatments aimed at altering a child’s biological sex or affirming a gender identity inconsistent with their biological sex for children under 16. The bill establishes penalties for individuals who provide such treatments, including surgical procedures, puberty blockers, or supraphysiologic doses of hormones.Montana Family Foundation supports this Bill.
