Bill Description

SB154 expands Montana’s prohibition on the sale or purchase of human body parts under the Revised Uniform Anatomical Gift Act by explicitly banning the sale or purchase of whole human bodies or fetal tissue for purposes such as transplantation, therapy, research, education, or the training of search and rescue canines. The bill establishes strict penalties for violations, including fines of up to $50,000, imprisonment of up to five years, or both.
