Bill Description

This bill requires all smartphones and tabletsactivated in Montana after January 1, 2026, to have an obscenity filter enabled for minors, establishes civil and criminal liability for manufacturers and individuals who disable the filter, excluding parents, and allows parents to sue if their child accesses explicit content due to a violation​.
