This is a large bill that would re-write criminal law in the areas that touch on Human Trafficking. The more we can do to help the victims of Human Trafficking the better. This is nothing less than modern day slavery.
Extend Termination Date of Qualified Endowment Tax Credit
The Montana endowment tax credit is used as an estate planning tool by many Montanans and it greatly benefits organizations like the Montana Family Institute ( The research and education arm of the Montana Family Foundation). His bill would move the sunset to 2025 and allow the program to remain in place.
Requiring the Provision of Information Before the Performance of an Abortion
This bill would require abortion providers to offer their clients the chance to see an ultrasound or hear the fetal heartbeat prior to having an abortion.
Revise Conciliation Rules in Cases of Divorce
This bill would allow those who have filed for divorce to suspend or terminate the proceedings while they pursue a path of reconciliation.
Constitutional Amendment to Define Person
This bill would outlaw abortion by defining that life begins at conception. As a constitutional amendment, the bill must receive 100 “yes” votes, total, between the House and Senate to pass.
Providing that Consent to Physician Aid in Dying is Not a Defense
This bill is the result of the poorly worded 2009 Mt. Supreme Court’s Baxter decision on doctor perscribed suicide. It says the doctor may not use the consent of the victim as a defense if the dotor prescribes the drugs for suicide and is later charged with homicide.
Protect Vulnerable Persons From Sexual Misconduct
This bill makes it clear that a resident in a youth treatment facility may not consent to a sexual relationship with any employee of the facility.
Revise Consent Laws for Elementary or High School Students in a School Setting
This bill makes it clear that a student may not consent to a sexual relationship with a teacher or other school employee.
